sarah
1:20 PM
we are a very small community and find it difficult to recruit from the availible pool with family and work commitments
Catherine Devlin
1:20 PM
And maybe it's around explaining the benefits of volunteering
Louise Taylor
1:20 PM
yes, had no idea of what is out in the community

I've often run volunteer tutor programs...people learning while they're supporting others learning...win-win
Rina
1:21 PM
We don't have a plan; we recruit as needed and advertise for volunteers, and sometimes they walk in and offer to be volunteers. Now we have 'bring a buddy' program going on for volunteers.
Sonia
1:22 PM
we usually run a couple of newspaper ads throughout the year - for both students and tutors - from there it usually generates through word of mouth
